While we receive too many pitches each year to respond to them all, we read each of them and deeply appreciate the time and care authors take in preparing them.

Below you can find information on the process for making pitches to the series. If, after reading it carefully, you have further questions, please email the series editor, Max Haiven, at mhaiven at lakeheadu dot ca.

Pitch

The first step is to send Max an email with your idea. See the guide below.

Propose

Selected pitchers are invited to work with Max to develop a proposal, which will be brought to the publisher for consideration. Here is a template. It also includes a production flowchart.

Draft

Proposals must be accompanied by sample chapters, usually an introduction. Here is a set of prompts to help you draft one.
